@filecat Description
|
|
 @filecat.htm runs in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. It builds HTML catalogs of local files and folders organized in a Explorer-Like Tree. Use it to build medium-sized (< 5000 files/folders) navigatable catalogs of folders like Favorite URLs, Music, Photos, or CD/DVD Contents. Then use the HTML catalogs to access the urls, mp3s, jpgs. Or use it search offline CD/DVD contents. Catalogs may be emailed or web-posted using a 'Web Images' option.
Users must allow @filecat.htm page to access the local fileystem using an ActiveX object. The browser will prompt, to which the user must answer in the affirmaive.
Since @filecat.htm is regular HTML file with some JavaScript, motivated users may customize it to their personal preferences. The HTML source is well-commented.
